Savoury Waffles
Description
Savoury waffles are a great breakfast or brunch option and also a wonderful way to add to your vegetable intake for the day.
Ingredients
Instructions
- Pre-heat the waffle maker & lightly grease
- Crack the eggs in a bowl, add the milk & whisk to combine
- Sift in the flour, baking powder & salt & stir in. Avoid over-stirring.
- Pour into the waffle maker just enough to cover the base
- Top with your favourite cooked topping eg hummus spread and avo salad
Notes
- Avoid over-stirring the batter as this can result in tough waffles
- If the waffle batter falls out of the machine, check that the consistency is correct. It should be of pouring consistency but not too thin. Perhaps use less for your next one
- Fruit/vegetable toppings are a great way to add to your daily intake
