Wholewheat Flapjacks

Description

A quick, easy and healthy way to serve up your flapjacks or pancakes.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl
  2. whisk together the wet ingredients
  3. Add the wet mixture to the dry misture to make a batter
  4. Heat a non-stick pan and lightly fry about 1 tbs of batter for each flapjack until golden brown on each side

Notes

  • The batter should not be of pouring consistency.
  • The flapjacks should be soft and well done on the inside.
  • Fruit & yoghurt toppings makes for great healthy breakfast toppings.
  • The use of wholewheat flour makes for a high-fibre pancake & is a great way of increasing your fibre intake for the day.
  • Fibre helps to lower cholesterol, maintain better blood sugar control (especially important for diabetics) and prevent constipation.
