Cooking Method:Boiling Courses:Breakfast Recipe Keys: Vegetarian
Prep time: 5 minutesCook time: 10 minutesTotal time: 15 minutesServings:1 serving

Description

Quick and easy delicious breakfast oats that packs a real punch with added protein and healthy fats!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, add in the oats with 1 cup of hot water, bring to a boil to soften
  2. Add in the chia seeds, cinnamon, & milk and allow to cook for a few more minutes
  3. Decant into your serving bowl, top with nuts, goji berries, or fruit of your choice with a drizzle of honey

Notes

  • You can make more portions and store them in the fridge in an airtight container for about 5 days.
  • You don’t need to soak the chia seeds beforehand as the water will be absorbed as it cooks, thereby plumping it up
  • Chia seeds provide healthy fats and fibre
  • You can add other fruit and seeds like flaxseed or pumpkin seeds for variety on other days
